Mission Success
My vision, my plan, my way
Team play, fighting spirit, and the will to win
He led Bayer Leverkusen to a series of championship victories, wrote another success story with Bamberg, and now works with the FC Bayern Munich where he is currently in charge of what has to be the most spectacular basketball project in the whole of Europe. After 22 years of being a coach, Dirk Bauermann describes himself as a »war horse covered in scars« and still not tired of fighting. Not even death threats were able to stop him. What sort of inner power drives Dirk Bauermann, what kind of maxims do his actions follow, how does he deal with success and defeat, and how can you motivate a team with plenty of heart and intelligence and bring it tightly together? He reveals all this and more in this very personal book. A sure road to success.
Dirk Bauermann, born in 1957 in Oberhausen, Germany, won nine championship titles as a coach and led the German national basketball-team to winning the silver medal in the European Championship in 2005. He has been training the FC Bayern Munich basketball-team since 2010. He lives in Germany, with his family.
