Complemented by conversations with contemporary witnesses, he paints a portrait of the anarchic fantasist and his filmic utopias. Moritz Holfelder, born in 1958, studied communication sciences, art history, and German. He works as a writer, editor, and radio host at the Bavarian Broadcasting Company. He has published articles in numerous national newspapers as well as several books, most recently Palace of the Republic – The Rise and Fall of a Symbolic Building (2008). Moritz Holfelder lives in Berlin and Munich.
