In this impressive and unique book the reader will be taken on a journey to the different centres of Buddha in Nepal and India and see how Buddhism has spread throughout Thailand/Laos/Sri Lanka, China/Vietnam, Tibet, Japan and Korea

Everywhere, Buddha appears in his different manifestations but it is obvious that always it is the same Buddha people believe in. Ever since Buddhism has merged in a symbiosis with the culture and the people living there. Interesting to learn is the aspect of how very much Buddhism was influenced by the landscape and different vegetations, as the barren Tibetian landscape where the convents are breathtakingly colourful, or as in the magnificent Japan where convents are basically simple. Interviews with very well known masters of recent Buddhism, like Dalai Lama or the Vietnamese monk Thich Nhat Han. With their personal interpretation of ancient Buddha they comment on the different aspects of the teachings.

  • With an interview of the Dalai Lama
  • Complete works of living Buddhism
  • Incomparable photographs and lots of informative text
  • Co-produtions can be offered
