Benny Rebel was born in Iran in 1968. The environmentalist and conservationist who has traveled through Africa, the Islands of Galapagos, the United States, Mexico and Iran – among other countries – has lived in Hanover since 1987. NDR produced a TV documentation on his work in South Africa titling "On the Quest for the Cheetah". His first illustrated book "Untamed. Animals of the Wilderness" was published by Herbig in 2006. The foreword was written by Heinz Sielmann.
