In addition, the area was a central section of the trade route for many other luxury goods coming from Africa, India and China. This lavish ly illustrated book describes a journey that follows these ancient streams of commerce and explains the importance of frankincense, its production, and its role throughout history, right up to the present day. Hartmut Fiebig is an author, photographer and presenter. His articles and photographs are published regularly in newspapers and magazines in Germany and abroad. He has written four books. As a result of his live reportage entitled "Deep in Africa" and his series of guide books on Kenya, he was named as an honorary ambassador for Kenya. In addition, he was instrumental in setting up the cultural organisation known as "grenzgang.de", which conceives and showcases events in the world of travel, as well as operating as a booking and events agency.
