Medieval healing knowledge

It is a hidden treasure waiting to be fully explored: traditional European medicine. Holistic practitioner Dr. Berndt Rieger tells its fascinating story and offers suggestions on how to put it to use with the help of recipes that are as effective as ever. He covers the theory of the humours and temperaments propagated by medieval monks, the healing arts of Hildegard von Bingen, specific remedies from the herb kitchen, as well as homeopathy and the earliest forms of tissue salt medicine. A true cornucopia of traditional western healing arts.

Berndt Rieger
, MD, was born in 1962. A specialist in internal medicine, he runs his own practice in Bamberg with a focus on naturopathic treatments. He is the author of numerous best-selling healthcare manuals, many of which have been published by Herbig. They include: The Step-By-Step Plan to Schuessler Cell Salts for Your Child (in collaboration with Heidrun Rieger, MD), The Thyroid Gland, and Weak Veins.
