Angels guard, escort and guide us. They can convey secret wisdom and take us by the hand on our way up to higher spheres. The author explains the conceptions of angels in different religiions and cultures. His ideas are based on the wealth of traditional spirituality and he invites his readers to reflect on what the different conceptions of angels really mean in life. How can we use these powers for our own benefit? What are miracles in their true sense? And where does our freedom remain if God intervenes in nature? Are heavenly delights or infernal tortures awaiting us in the life hereafter? And: what does this perspective mean for our here and now?
