To hell with free will?
What is evil? Is it part of human nature? Is it a spiritual power? Frieder Lauxmann engages in a philosophical search in order to explore the roots and origins of evil, to examine the aims and methods behind it and to develop defence strategies against it. His book traces a path from the Bible to Kant, from Goethe’s Mephisto-pheles to Erich Fromm and all the way to the moral decline of modern society and man-made natural disasters. With this book, he once again proves that difficult topics can be approached in a readable and perceptive manner.
