Healing stories exist in all religious traditions. They touch the deeper layers within people that the mind cannot reach and therefore have the power to heal. As a shaman, Monika Herz works with these ancient traditions »in order to reopen our heart’s eye which allows us to see God«. She tells stories of Jesus and Buddha, of Sufi masters and Ganesha, of Tara and Japanese Zen masters. After each story, she explains how we can use them for our own personal development and healing.
Monika Herz, born in Germany, in 1956, grew up in a religious Christian family with
many prayer healers among her friends and relatives. She is a mother of five and works as an alternative practitioner, focussing on »spiritual therapy«: prayer healing, laying on of hands, and conversational therapy. She became known as the »Alpine Shaman«. Her book Traditional Faith Healing Prayers (2009) became a longterm bestseller.
