Life is eternal, and dying is an art which no one needs to fear.

With a remarkable lightness of touch and great compassion, Lotte Ingrisch relates the story of Methuselah, his death and after-death experiences. She demonstrates that death is merely a transition into another state of being, and that the deceased and the living are not really separate from one another. Her personal experiences of the afterlife and her in-depth knowledge of the latest research on the subject give the story a depth which is guaranteed to transform fundamentally our understanding of life.

Lotte Ingrisch was born Charlotte Gruber in 1930 in Vienna. She was married initially to the philosopher Hugo Ingrisch from 1949 until 1965, then to the composer Gottfried von Einem, from 1966 until his death in 1996. She writes scripts for theatre and television, librettos, novels and non-fiction. A large part of her extensive literary work has been translated into English, Spanish and other languages.
