„I've got you in my sight, Alex. I'm driving you ahead in front of me like a head of game. If — in the not too distant future — I read in the papers that detective inspector Alexander Swoboda has lain down his life in self-sacrifice I will dress up in mourning in public. Behind closed doors, I will open a bottle of champagne, not a cheap one, and put on my old Albinoni vinyl record along with it."
Alexander Swoboda, 61, investigates a murder case. The body has been cruelly ravaged. When he recognizes in the dead man an old friend from school he has a foreboding that a mad persecutor ist trying to correct the past with murders.
