"With love and tenderness, the world far behind, they held each other in tights embrace; he looked like an image, a God of the Greek, she was a siren, so beauteaous and sweet."
Over a period of four years (1885-1888), Elisabeth, Empress of Austria wrote love poems - secretly and filled with a deep longing. In her days, these poems were neither published nor did they ever reach those they were dedicated to. It was a long time after her decease before this literary treasure was discovered. In her second delightful gift book about Sisi's lyrics, Annette Epp has, for the first time, arranged an anthology of Sisi's love poems.
